John C. Takes Home Week 1 Crown, Earns Entry To Wildcard

In our first week of 2021, we saw a full mix of scores across the board. It did ultimately come down to the Sunday night game and FSU proving they're a great team and covering at home on Bobby Bowden night. John C. takes the Week 1 prize going 8-2 for a high score of 52 points. It is pretty impressive to have the only ones you lose your 1 and 2 confidence, as we had a couple other 8-2 records and plenty of 7-3 but no one within 8 at the end of the week. John has secured his spot in the Wildcard playoff starting in Week 10 as well. Some highlights from the week below:

  • The first 8 games all were an AVERAGE of 15 points from the spread. Only the last two were within single digits of the spread.

  • Alabama continues to be the most wagered team every time they are on the board, with 440 total confidence points risked compared to Miami’s 44. Notre Dame was the 2nd closest with 380 points risked.

  • Arizona tied Miami for the LEAST points risked at 44, but were able to cover their number.

  • Georgia and Clemson both didn’t score an offensive TD. I mean, that’s just sad.
