Separation At The Top After Week 3
Week 3 saw some better records posted on the score board after a handful of people go 8-2 and a large number at 7-3. After the final game ended though it gave us a clean winner with Garrett B. winning the week at 8-2 with 49 points, locking in the 3rd Wild Card AQ bid. Anthony M. takes the new 2nd place weekly prize as well going 7-3 for 46 points. With the good records across the board we still only had 9 people breaking 40 points, but we had 63 people above 30 for a large group right behind the leaders. At the top of the season standings, we now have a bit of separation from the top 3. You can always see up to date standings in their page here.
Some weekly trends from the games:
It was a good week for the public. We had 3 teams get over 400 points bid on them, all of which covered fairly easily - USC (486), Georgia (459), Oklahoma (449)
Two higher ranked teams went on the road this week as underdog to non-conference opponents and both were picked more in the Pick Em. Michigan State (315) and Miami (231) are both on official Fraud Watch as they were handled by Washington (150) and Texas A&M (197)
In the craziest game of the week, there were 42 points in the 4th quarter and what felt like 15 flags in the last minute to help Syracuse (221) edge out Purdue (187) on the final play
