Ryan H. Takes Week 12 With Lone 40+ Score
What a struggle of a week all around. In one of the lowest scoring weeks ever we had just 1 person manage to break the 40 point total. The Gamecast guru himself, Ryan H. takes the Week 12 win going an impressive 7-3 for 42 points. This is the 2nd straight win by someone who didn’t make the Wild Card. Beyond Ryan being the only 40+ point scorer, we only even had 9 more people even manage to break the 30 point mark. And what is maybe the wildest aspect, we only had 2 people even manage to go 7-3. In the Wild Card, we had another tie at the 10th spot which gives us 11 headed into next week where the top 5 will move on and play for the Wild Card prizes in the final week. I even had to give an all time pain shoutout to Andrew O. who managed to do something that is quite difficult in getting 1 point for the week, a tough way to exit the Wild Card. You can see full updated standings as always, on the Standings Page. Read below for more notes and trends from the week:
It makes sense that in one of the lowest scoring weeks ever a lot of heavy picked teams didnt cover. The lower picked team managed to cover the first 6 games on Saturday and 7/10 overall. The three lowest being UAB (51), Arkansas (70), and Clemson (99). All three getting picked fewer than 16 times.
8 teams got bid 200+ points on this week, the only two managing to cover being Baylor (262) and Oklahoma State (242) as chalk maintained in the Big 12 this week.
The game 10 home dog trend is officially back with Oregon State (133) covering their +3.5 home spread against Arizona State (84).
Ohio State (141) is an absolute wagon.
