50 Point Showdown Up Top

Not often do we have someone score 50 points in a week. Even less often someone scores 50 and doesn’t come away with a win that week. We had two people have a great week and great confidence use, but a 1 point difference is all it takes to win a week. Andrew O. Goes 8-2 for 52 points to win the week and lock in his spot in the Wild Card. Kevin O. was right behind him in 2nd place going 8-2 for 51 points. Andrew lost his 1 and 2 confidence games, and Kevin lost his 1 and 3. What a run at it. We have just 1 week left for everyone to secure their place into the Wild Card side pool. 3/8 of our auto bids are currently held by someone who would otherwise be out based on points alone. Some weekly trends from the games:

• It was a very evenly spread week as we only had 1 team amass over 400 points bid on them. Penn State (421) takes that honor and covers their spread fairly handily.

• Pac-12 After Dark returns with immediate chaos and a back and forth 4th quarter with both teams covering for a time. Ultimately the hook fell in Cal’s (97) favor and they end up covering by .5 for the minority who backed them.

• Vegas always knows best and no game showed that more than LSU (134) being a favorite over an undefeated top-10 team. The public didn’t trust it but Ole Miss (366) proved to be on fraud watch and took a beating in Baton Rouge after an early big lead.
