2023 Week 8 Results
When The Shoe Drops
Boy oh boy did the big week finally hit. Not only did we not have anyone at 9-1, we had just 4 people achieve 8-2 this week. In a tough week, confidence points become even more critical in placement which we saw first hand. Jeremy M. had a very solid week going 8-2 with 47 points to win the week and gain an auto entry to the Wild Card. We had another tie right behind him at 45 points between Ryan H. and Mike B. however their records were the interesting part. In RPS, Ryan H. does win a scissor cuts paper battle to take 2nd place, and Mike B. becomes our first 6-4 contestant to make the top 3 in a week. The top of our overall leaderboard remains tight with just 7 points seperating 1st and 5th place.

Some trends and highlights from the week:
In our top picks of the week, Michigan (547) is proving themselves to be quite the force while USC (441) and Oregon (418) both failed to cover in a hard week all around in the Pac12.
Probably the most insane spread of the week came in the armed forces bowl as Air Force (410) covered by .5 as Navy (205) failed on a very unnecessary two-point conversion after their only touchdown with 50 seconds left.
In one of the strange pick-point spread games, Florida State (291) pulled off a late cover as Duke (260) dropped a 2nd half bomb. Duke was picked 54 times to Florida states 49 despite Florida State having more confidence points on them.
