James M. Wins With Top Record and Points

In a very close week that once again came down to the after-dark kick, James M. ends up on top with the only 8-2 record and 48 points. In a heavily loaded 3:30 time slate he went 3-1 winning his 10, 9, and 8 to put him in the path to the top, he will earn the 4th automatic entry into the Wild Card beginning week 10. It was an all around average week record-wise with only 19 people going 6-4 or higher. Our lowest 6-4’s tied for 35th place while we had a 5-5 finish in 8th for the week as well. We have two Matt’s leading the top of our Leaderboard and Stephen U. holding onto third for now. Everyone is still alive for the Wild Card for now as well, only takes 1 good week to get your spot secured. Some of the top trends of the week below:

• The three night games saw 3 of our 4 highest bid teams of the week. With Michigan State (379) leading the way and not covering, Florida (262) and West Virginia (265) both covered their spreads fairly easily.

• Notre Dame (263) kicked us off with an absolutely crazy cover and 4th quarter. Trailing 13-10 in the 4th with 14 min left they proceeded to outscore Wisconsin 31-0 the final 14 minutes while getting outgained 110-60 yards… wild game.

• While 2 of our top 3 bid both did cover, our 3 lowest teams bid also all covered their spreads. Nebraska (78), Baylor (85), and Oregon State (91) all won outright as underdogs.

• LSU (154) covered their -2.5 spread by just a .5 point in a tight early game. None of the other 9 games on the docket were within 7 points of their original spreads in a topsy turvy week.
