Jeremy M. Nears Perfection, Takes Week 6 Title with 54 Points
What a week it was in the Pick Em. We had 2 near perfect weeks, but when its all said and done the perfect week remains untouched yet again. Jeremy M. managed to tie for the highest score ever in the Pickem after he went 9-1 losing only his 1 confidence on UConn. Jeremy secured the 6th automatic entry into the Wild Card, only 3 more weeks to secure your spot! Meanwhile, Garrett B. was making his own 10-0 bid covering the first 9 games, but Alabama falls through and he ends up going 9-1 but losing his 10. Picks were well done this week with a number of contestants going 7-3 and 8-2, including a 7-3 in 38th place. Take a look at the updated Standings as well. Trends from Week 6 below:
Alabama (510) had the biggest week ever for the Pick Em. Out of the 71 submitted picks, 66 had the Tide for an average of 8 points each. However, for the 5th straight week, the home underdog in the 10th game slot pulls off an upset outright as Texas A&M (24) does the impossible.
Our two other highest bid teams Georgia (392) and Ohio State (389) both were able to cover their spread and by more than a touchdown as well.
The 2nd least bid team of the week UMass (55) took home both the cover and the outright win in one of the all-time toilet bowls of the NCAA.
Not including Michigan/Nebraska was an oversight.
Other than A&M and UMass covering, in the remaining 8 games the higher picked team was able to cover which led to such a positive week for the crowd, even if most people lost their 10 to Bama.
